My Story
My artistic journey began in my early childhood in Iran. Even back then, art was never just a hobby; it was a world I would lose myself in. Inspired by the trips my family and I took to the natural surroundings outside our concrete city, I decided, at the age of eight, to pursue this love more seriously, a moment that marked the true beginning of a lifelong obsession.
That passion led me through ten years of art education, into a career in graphic design, and sparked a deep curiosity to explore the world around me. Over the years, my path has carried me across different cultures and landscapes, each leaving its own mark on the way I see and create. I’m now lucky to call Vancouver home.
Threads of my memories, travels, and imagination, sometimes gentle, sometimes bold and unexpected, weave through every piece I make.
As my skills grew and the mediums I worked with expanded, my artistic identity kept evolving. From watercolour and acrylic to clay sculpture, digital art, and motion, my creativity has never wanted to live inside one form, that would be far too boring.
My name, Pooneh, is also the name of a delicate wildflower that grows freely, finding beauty in every corner of nature. I like to think my art carries that same spirit, alive, curious, and always reaching toward the light.
